  • Dr. Fraser Hamilton


    Fraser graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1995 and worked in various hospitals in New Zealand and the United Kingdom before completing General Practice training in 2004. He also works as a medical officer at the Waikato Cardiology Clinical Trials unit at Waikato Hospital and since 2014 has also been the GP Champion for the Heart Foundation.

    Fraser is married with two children.

  • Dr. Alicia Loh

    Alicia grew up in Malaysia and obtained her medical degree from the University of Auckland. Alicia initially started training in Emergency Medicine, before making the switch to General Practice and she's never looked back. Alicia is particularly passionate about all aspects of skin disease, including skin excisions. In 2019 Alicia undertook further postgraduate study in skin cancer surgery and dermoscopy from Skin Cancer College Australasia. Alicia is currently working towards her fellowship in general practice. Outside of work Alicia enjoys traveling and growing her indoor plant collection. Alicia also enjoys trying out new restaurants and cafes that have popped up since she last called Hamilton home. She looks forward to meeting you.

  • Dr. Vidya Jandhyala

    Vidya graduated from Medical School in 2003 in India and worked in the United Kingdom and Waikato Hospital in New Zealand before completing General Practice training in 2013.

    She worked as a GP in Hawke’s Bay for a few years and has been working at Northcare Pukete since February 2019. Vidya is married with two children.

  • Vesna Zivanovic

    Vesna immigrated to NZ in 1996. She qualified overseas and in NZ. She joined NorthCare in 2010 and has been working as the Nurse Lead across the 3 sites since 2018. Vesna is very passionate about nursing and enjoys working with patients in their health journey. She supports the nurses and the medical care assistants in providing the best possible care available.

    Vesna enjoys working in all aspects of Primary Health Care. She has a teenage son, loves reading, walking and cycling.

  • Carla Du Plessis

    Carla is South African. She moved to NZ in 2008. She has completed her nursing training in 2013. She worked at Braemar Hospital for 4 years before deciding to join the NorthCare team in 2017.

    Carla enjoys the diverse aspects of primary care. In her spare time she loves reading and spending time with her family.

  • Stephanie Steffert

    Completed training in 2017 , loves all aspects of Primary Care but in particular Women's Health and Health planning. Married and mum of 2 lovely children, hobbies are spending time with family, travel , movies and reading.

  • Penny Clark

    Reg Pharm NZ (prescriber). PGDipClinPharm (dist), PGCertPharmPres, MNZCP, MPSNZ, MCAPA, MNZHPA

    Penny has been the clinical pharmacist at NorthCare since 2011 and enjoys working as a member of the general practice team. Before coming to NorthCare Penny worked in several hospitals, community pharmacies and did medication reviews while she and her husband raised their 3 children. Penny is now a pharmacist prescriber after completing postgraduate clinical studies through Otago and Auckland Universities.

    Penny is available within the practices to see patients. She enjoys all aspects of general medicine and has special interests in the areas of optimising medicines for older persons and patients with multiple or complex medicines, diabetes and cardiovascular conditions.
